Mother's Day 2010

Mother's Day this year began with my husband making brunch for us. This year we combined breakfast and lunch into brunch and celebrated with my mother-in-law for dinner. He never complains, but it is quite a day for my husband.
After brunch we looked at some pictures of Jojo's visit to his college. This is how I found Sammie. I think Ali and Sammie are a little concerned about his departure.
The rest of us decided to join in.

Can you feel the love?
J.R. wrote Grandma a nice card for Mother's Day.I think she liked it.

A few hours later, Ama and Akong came by with a beautiful heart shaped Mother's Day cake with pink and white roses.

We sure are blessed to be able to celebrate our grandmas on Mother's Day. Where would we be without them? Our mothers-we owe them everything. They carried us in their wombs and helped shape us into the people we are today. Happy Mother's Day, Moms!

  8. oh yeah, and the card from jonathan to your mom... *sigh* fits so well into my dramatic imagination of the son expressing his sincere gratitude for all the opportunities she's worked to provide him with. :)
