So, Ali asked me today, "Mommy, why are all of our friends moving to Kansas City, but not us?" As I tried to answer her I realized that from her perspective it is understandable why she felt this way. Juli and Lukie were her very first friends...Kansas City, then Kay, Bekah, and Noah, and now Samuel and Naomi. I was surprised by her tears today. She tried to hold it in, but they came out in sobs when she had to say goodbye to Samuel and Naomi. It's a good thing we hung out with them again tonight. Ali and Samuel just play so well together.
Samuel decided to demonstrate how he can stand like statue because Ali said, "If you don't want the bee to sting you, stand like a statue."
I asked her to stand like a statue like Samuel and this is what she came up with. "I'm lighting a candle." (?)
Oh, Young family. We are truly blessed to count you as our friends. Thank you for making time for us. Wendy and Keith have so much wisdom and insight. It is so good to get feedback from them.
Lindsey had her first taste of rice cereal tonight.
