On the first day of their Spring break we decided to head to the Kansas City Zoo! This was the first time we had taken Josiah to the zoo. We didn't bring a stroller and my husband was away at a conference. Thankfully Perazim came to the rescue as did many other people like Keith, and Joy. Thank you!

After lunch we fed the larakeets. You go into the larakeet area and they hand you a cup of nectar.
Then they come flying onto you!
The carousel was right next to the larakeets and since we had an all day pass, we had to go again to get our money's worth!
Some of us went to see the snake exhibit and some of us chose not to! That is Josiah and his favorite snack of choice: Chocolate chip granola bar by Cascadian Farms.
After we hiked back to the entrance - Keith carried my backpack and Josiah for most of the way - some of the kids wanted to ride the train one more time. Here we are waiting for the train to come and pick us up.
We stayed until the zoo closed!!! We had so much fun! Thank you, Yaps, Youngs, and Maas families for taking us to the zoo!
