Ali is 7 years old!

It is pretty scary for me that my first born baby is 7 years old! Where did the time go?

For her birthday we decided to celebrate by throwing a slumber party! Yeah, right. How about a pajama party with breakfast for dinner, cereal necklaces, decorating pillowcases, getting your nails done, movie and popcorn and go home and sleep in your own bed!

Apologies for the grainy pictures!

ali's 7bday splits
Ali is doing the splits here. Her new accomplishment is being able to do a back bend. She put her cereal necklace on her head as a headband.
ali's 7 breakfast
Daddy made chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes with fun toppings for the kids.
pillowcases
The kids decorated their own pillowcases with fabric markers.

The Chen girls brought their nail polish and nail stamps for the younger girls. Garrett and Josiah passed on this activity. I wonder why. You could find them playing with cars.

The next day we went to the wedding rehearsal and the rushed over to Biola for their production of Annie! It is such a heartwarming production! Thanks Auntie Wendy, Amanda, and Nicole for joining us!

Here are orphans: Christiana and Adriane- Ali's friends from 101 Dalmatians! All three of them will be in Willy Wonka together!

Laura and the girls! It was a bit bright for Sammie! Laura had a number of roles. We are so proud of all of the girls! Laura is now one of Ali's teen leaders in Willy Wonka! She is such a treasure and a blessing!

After the show, Ali chose to go to Joe's Crabshack for dinner. We had just been there for Nicole's dinner and she obviously had so much fun that she wanted to go there again! There is a playground right next to the tables and someone who makes balloons for the kids!

  5. yes. thanks for sharing your pictures! it is so good to see what you guys did on ali's birthday. ali is growing up so fast and growing more and more beautiful. happy birthday, ali! and teresa, i love that scripture on your wall. i don't remember if i saw that before (i might've even commented on it before but i don't remember now). but it just struck me. i love that, especially as your family's testimony of your dependence on Him and His goodness to you. thank you for that encouraging word. :)

  6. Thanks, Mitch! Thanks for your comments. We thought the verse was fitting for our family especially after He carried us through Josiah's birth and everything. Yes, it is a reminder of His goodness to us!
