Battle scars of motherhood

Setting: Reading bedtime stories with the girls. Sammie comes to sit on my lap and looks at my stomach.

Sammie: Mommy, it looks like there is another baby in your tummy.

Me: Aw. I don't want to look like I'm going to have another baby.

Sammie: Why not?

Me: Because there isn't a baby inside.

Sammie walks directly in front of me and stands a little ways off

Sammie: Don't worry, Mommy. If I look from here, your tummy looks flat.
